Bromfield Acton-Boxborough rowing athletes Rachel Shrives of Old Mill Road and Erin Smith of Acton were selected to participate in the Youth Regional Challenge at the 2017 World Rowing Championships in Sarasota-Bradenton, Florida, Sept. 23–25. Shrives is unable to attend. The Youth Regional Challenge will feature 156 of the top under-19 rowers from across the six USRowing regions. Each of the six regions—Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Northeast, Northwest, Southeast, and Southwest—will be represented by two all-star crews in each of four boat classes.
