Harvard resident Robin Right has been honored with an invitation to perform on Nashville’s second-longest running radio show, the Ernest Tubb Midnite Jamboree’s 70th anniversary show on May 6.
Right’s career has taken her to 23 states, many European countries, Australia, and even Greenland. She has also appeared with many country music greats, including George Jones, Roy Clark, Conway Twitty, and Mickey Gilley and noncountry stars such as Roy Orbison, Kris Kristofferson, and Tiny Tim. Closer to home, she has performed at the Hatch Shell, Boston’s Hillbilly Ranch, Gillette Stadium, and the Massachusetts State House. She has performed for Governors Dukakis and Weld of Massachusetts, Governor Almond of Rhode Island, cabinet secretaries, members of Congress, and mayors.
Right is a member of the Massachusetts Country Music Hall of Fame, has received every award the Massachusetts Country Music Association offers multiple times, has been recognized by the Boston Music Awards, and was inducted into the Midnite Jamboree Family in 2016.
