More than 150 groups of people participated in the 2017 Townwide Roadside Trash Cleanup. We added several new areas this year, and nearly all the road segments were adopted. With almost all the reports in, the 2017 totals are 500 bags of trash and garlic mustard and 150 bags of recycling.
We want to specifically thank the Cub Scouts and Girls Scouts for their participation; Dunkin’ Donuts for donating coffee and doughnuts; and the Board of Health, Board of Selectmen, Bare Hill Pond Watershed Management Committee, and Conservation Commission for their financial support. Special thanks also go to the DPW for collecting bags from Harvard’s 69 miles of roads. And thanks once again to all our neighbors for helping to keep our town beautiful.
