Warner Free Lecture and Fanfare present ‘The ABCs of Opera’

March 16, 2017

What exactly is opera? Is it a snobby art form that only elitists can enjoy? Or is it a version of “pop music” that was written to speak to the heart and entertain all of us? On Friday, March 24, at 7:30 p.m. at Volunteers Hall, come discover some things you never knew about opera. The event is co-sponsored by the Warner Free Lecture Trustees and Fanfare.

Conductor and lecturer Aldo Fabrizi, soprano Elaine Crane, mezzo-soprano Angela Jajko, and pianist Olga Rogach of the Greater Worcester Opera will tell tales, teach us a few things, and give lots of live examples so you’ll go home knowing more about this beautiful and surprisingly accessible art form.
