Girls basketball beats Gardner, falls to Narragansett

The Bromfield girls basketball team defeated Gardner on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 43–38, but then lost to Narragansett Regional on Friday, Feb. 10, 39–26.

The Trojans faced Gardner on the Wildcats’ home court and came away with their second win of the season. Gardner went into the game with an overall 5–11 record, while the Trojans stood at 1–15 for the season. Bromfield senior Hannah Lochiatto scored the most points, 14, for the Trojans, while seniors Lexi Norcross and Abbey Pacl both followed at 10. Freshman Callie Frackiewicz scored the Trojans’ only 3-pointer of the night.

The top scorers of the night for Gardner were Becca Lashua at 14 points and Miranda Raimon at seven.

On Friday, the Narragansett Warriors, who had entered the game with a 16–6 record, easily defeated the Trojans by 13 points. Frackiewicz was top scorer for Bromfield with 10 points, while LoChiatto followed with seven. Katie Chapman was the top scorer for Narragansett with 15 points.

The Trojans were set to face Hudson on Thursday, Feb. 16.
