State Senator Jamie Eldridge thanks voters

November 17, 2016

I’m very happy to have been re-elected by such a strong margin last Tuesday, Nov. 8, to serve my fifth term as state senator for the Middlesex and Worcester District. During the re-election campaign, I focused on key issues, including increasing state aid for education, investing in transportation, protecting the environment and combating climate change, improving government transparency, and taking on corporate special interests. Having opponents made me work harder to highlight my work for the 14 communities of the district and what my vision is for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

I want to thank my campaign manager, Kyle Coulter, for his hard work, which included helping other candidates for the Massachusetts Legislature, and supporting Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire. I’m grateful for the help and support of all of my campaign volunteers, and I’m excited to begin focusing on new legislation and policies for the 2017–2018 legislative session. To that point, I plan to hold forums in the district over the next two months, to get input from constituents. In addition, I encourage residents who have ideas about tackling the state’s challenges to email me at James.Eldridge@masenate.gov, or to visit my website www.SenatorEldridge.com and submit a comment. Once again, thanks to the voters for their strong support this election year.
