Sewer Commission clarifies position on use of capacity for Hildreth housing

October 20, 2016

I am writing to make a small but important correction to the article about the proposed Hildreth housing project in the Oct. 14 issue of the Press. That article is entitled “Sewer Commission comfortable with 3,000 gallons for project.”

Last February in a letter to the selectmen, the Sewer Commission stated its conclusion that “we are able to make 3,000 gallons per day of sewer capacity available for potential other uses.” The Sewer Commission has not yet taken a position on the use of that available capacity for a future senior housing project at Hildreth House.
