I am writing to express my heartfelt thanks to Debbie Thompson for her superb leadership and compassion in directing our wonderful Council on Aging, and for keeping us seniors independent. She has done a remarkable job in running a complex organization, and she has put together a very caring and competent in-house staff: Maria Holland, Peter Dumont, Joan Goddard, Cathy Walker, as well as a considerate crew of van drivers, Jim Peters, Pete Tennyson, and Julio Valladares.
Another special thanks goes to our knowledgeable and patient volunteer computer teachers: Doug Lee, Adam Miller, and Russ Hayao, without whom we would be lost because we were not brought up with computers.
Old age is never easy, but the COA is here for us. We are truly fortunate to live in such a wonderful town.
