Town offices temporarily closed; reopening June 6
Town offices are closed through the end of this week, with no access to phones, computers, or files. Offices will reopen Monday, June 6, at the newly renovated Town Hall.
Fire Department activates emergency alarm system
As of Monday, May 30, a loud air horn will sound between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. whenever the Harvard Fire Department responds to an emergency call. The air horn is mounted on Harvard’s center fire station and is sounded to alert residents, motorists, bikers, and pedestrians that firefighters are converging on the center of town to respond to the call, and that they should be be on alert for emergency vehicles in the area. The air horn system will help keep both the public and responding firefighters safer during emergency incidents. If you hear the air horn, please proceed with caution and be aware of your location relative to the Harvard Fire Department center fire station. Firefighters and emergency vehicles will be responding to and from that location.
Harvard Help volunteers needed
Volunteers are urgently needed to drive or answer the phone just one day per month. Drivers should be available on their scheduled day to take clients to appointments, usually no more than 15 miles from Harvard.
