The Bromfield boys lacrosse team (3–5) lost to the Littleton Tigers (8–1) on Thursday, April 28 at Littleton High School by a score of 11–2.
From the first quarter to the end of the game, Bromfield had difficulties keeping possession of the ball. The Trojans dropped many passes and failed to recover ground balls that were instead picked up by Littleton. These turnovers ultimately ended up as goals scored by the Littleton offense. Bromfield was unable to answer the 11 goals the Tigers put on the scoreboard.
The Tiger offense moved Bromfield’s defense with ease, using quick, accurate passes and causing Bromfield’s defense to miscommunicate and lose track of the ball. Littleton was then able to find an opening seam to the net for a goal, a sequence that happened throughout the game.
Ross MacMahon and Matt Thorton were the only two Bromfield players to find the back of the net. For Littleton, Will Scott had three goals and an assist while teammate Anthony Rausa had four goals and an assist.
The Bromfield boys lacrosse team lost to Hudson as well Saturday, April 30, 7–5. The team will play Fitchburg on Friday, May 6, at 3:30 p.m. and Marlborough on Tuesday, May 13, at 4 p.m. Both games will be played at the Depot Road Fields in Harvard.
