This week police made seven traffic stops that resulted in one citation, five verbal warnings, and one summons. Police also assisted three motorists with disabled vehicles and fielded two calls about road hazards and one about a power outage. The ambulance crew responded to six medical emergencies and took five people to the hospital, three with Advanced Life Support on board. One person refused treatment.
Tuesday, Feb. 9
At 3:02 p.m. a Gebo Lane resident called to report there was a hawk nearby with its foot stuck under a rock. Animal control was advised.
Wednesday, Feb. 10
At 6:51 p.m. Harvard firefighters were alerted to remain on standby to assist with a structure fire in Bolton. The request was eventually canceled.
Thursday, Feb. 11
At 10:49 a.m. a motorist called to report having just been passed by a car in a no-passing zone. Police located and stopped the vehicle and subsequently issued a summons to the driver, a 28-year-old woman from Boston, for driving with a suspended license and not having an inspection sticker. A motorist called at 5:06 p.m. to report a car being driven erratically. Police did not find the vehicle.
Friday, Feb. 12
A resident on Old Littleton Road called at 5:44 p.m. to report a brush fire on the side of the road. Firefighters responded and extinguished the blaze, clearing their equipment from the scene and returning to the fire station in about 45 minutes. An Oak Hill Road resident called at 10:28 p.m. to report hearing a crash outside. Police responded and found a car that had crashed into a fence after striking several utility poles. The driver, who was not injured, told police he had swerved to avoid an oncoming car that was being driven erratically. The car was towed; National Grid was notified to repair the poles. No citations were issued.
Saturday, Feb. 13
At 12:22 p.m. an officer on patrol on Fairbank Street stopped to advise the driver of a car blocking part of the road that it would have to be moved. Responding to an alarm at the Healing Garden at 2:07 p.m., officers questioned a worker who was there to clean and subsequently arrested the woman, 43-year-old Tressa Huer of Northborough, on an outstanding warrant.
Sunday, Feb. 14
At 11:40 a.m. a caller reported a car off the road on Stow Road. Police responded and subsequently issued a summons to the driver, a 40-year-old Boston man, for driving with a suspended license.
Monday, Feb. 15
