Fanfare Jazz Concert
Fanfare, a nonprofit group that supports music in Harvard’s public schools, will host a jazz concert Saturday, Nov. 14, at 4 p.m. at the Chapman-Ruze home, 42 Willow Road. Tim Ray will perform on piano and Bruce Bartlett on guitar.
This event includes a pot-luck dinner; please bring a dish to share. Drinks will be provided.

The Francis W. Sunday Walk at Black Pond
The Harvard Conservation Commission’s Land Stewardship subcommittee will lead a walk to Black Pond/Vesenka land Sunday Nov. 15, starting at 1 p.m. at Friendly Crossways, 247 Littleton County Road. PTO Scholastic Book Fair at Hildreth Elementary School
The Harvard PTO will host its annual Scholastic Book Fair, Monday, Nov. 16, through Tuesday, Nov. 24, weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Hildreth Elementary School library. On Wednesday, hours will be extended until 6 p.m. The public, parents, grandparents, and friends are welcome to attend and shop anytime during these hours. The event will feature hundreds of books in every price range, area of interest, and reading level for grades K through 6. Volunteers will be on hand to assist shoppers. This event is an opportunity to get holiday shopping done while benefiting the Harvard Public Schools. 100 percent of proceeds goes directly to programs for students and curriculum-related items for the Harvard schools.
Conservation Trust Annual Meeting
The Harvard Conservation Trust’s annual meeting will feature “A New England Food Vision: Conversations for Healthy and Thriving Communities” Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 7 p.m. at Volunteers Hall at the library. Brian Donahue, founder of Land’s Sake Farm, professor of American environmental studies at Brandeis University, and co-author of the recently released report titled, “A New England Food Vision,” will speak. The presentation will be preceded by a brief business meeting and will be accompanied by the traditional homemade gingerbread and cider.
‘The Little Mermaid JR’
Disney’s “The Little Mermaid JR” will come to the Hildreth Elementary School stage Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Nov. 20–22. Show times are Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 2 and 7 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m. Come watch 50 talented elementary school students in grades 2 through 5 sing, act, and dance in the newest Superstar production. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $5.
Immaculate Heart of Mary School Open House
The Immaculate Heart of Mary School will host an open house Friday, Nov. 20, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at 282 Still River Road. The school, grades 1 through 12, is part of the Worcester Catholic Diocese. Applications for the 2016-2017 school year will be available. For information, call 978-456-8877.
Multi-media Artisan Gallery Show and Sale
A multi-media artisan gallery show and sale on Saturday, Nov. 21, 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 22, 1 to 4 p.m. at the Harvard Congregational Church is a fundraiser to benefit Harvard’s Council on Aging. More than 30 artisans will feature glassware, jewelry, pastels, photography, pottery, quilting, textile designs, watercolors, weaving, woodworking. Homemade soups and cider will be available. View of WWII Seen by Enemy’s Eyes
On Saturday, Nov. 21, at 1 p.m. the Fort Devens Museum will host a free presentation by members of a Living History Association Re-enactment group representing a German military unit, the 914th Grenadier Regiment, that fought at Normandy against the Allies starting the liberation of France.

Fair Trade Faire
The Women’s Alliance and the Social Action Committee of the Harvard Unitarian Universalist Church will hold its sixth annual Fair Trade Faire Sunday, Nov. 22, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Fellowship Building. With the mission of celebrating and supporting women artisan cooperatives in developing countries, the faire has handicrafts from all over the world for sale. Wounded Veterans Benefit Concert
Raising Raiders, in association with the Bull Run Concert Series, will present a benefit concert, Devens Rock 4 Warriors, Saturday, Nov. 14, at 8 p.m. at the Bull Run restaurant, 215 Great Road, Shirley. Bands will include GE Smith, Bill Kirchen, the Persuasions, and Vetted. Cost is $50. Half of all proceeds will go directly to the Wounded Warrior Project. Indian Hill Presents
All-Mendelssohn Concert
The works of composer Felix Mendelssohn will be featured when Maestro Bruce Hangen conducts the Orchestra of Indian Hill on Saturday, November 14, 7:30 p.m. at Littleton High School, 56 King Street, Littleton. Laurel Learning, Bolton
Laurel Learning, 27 Forbush Mill Road in Bolton, will offer two fifteen-minute mindfulness meditation sessions for teens on Friday, Nov. 20, at 2:30 p.m. and Monday, Nov. 24, at 4:30 p.m. Linda Connolly, educator and meditation practitioner, will lead teens in a simple sitting meditation practice. Laurel Learning will also offer Pick-A-Pose Yoga for Kids, Friday, Nov. 20, at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Children from age 3 to 11 will explore movement and language.

Charlie Brown’
ArtsNashoba, Nashoba Valley’s regional arts center for youth, will present the musical “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 19-21, at the Richardson-Mees Performing Arts Center at Lawrence Academy in Groton. The cast includes Bromfield ninth-grader Catie Segaloff.
