Wellness and podiatry clinics

  • Wellness clinic. Town nurse Sharon Fata, RN, from Nashoba Nursing, will be at Hildreth House for free blood pressure checks Tuesday, July 21, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Appointments are not necessary.
  • Podiatry clinic. A podiatrist will be at Hildreth House Monday, July 20. Call the Council on Aging at 978-456-4120 to schedule an appointment. The fee is $30.

Cell phone donations

Through a program with the National Association of Councils on Aging, Hildreth House can accept old cell phones and their chargers to be refurbished and offered to seniors who can use them for emergencies. For more information, call the Council on Aging at 978-456-4120.


TED Talks at Hildreth House

The nonprofit group TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment, and Design were discussed. Today it covers a wide variety of topics, with each talk lasting no longer than 18 minutes. On Thursday, July 16, from 2 to 3 p.m., seniors are invited to view a TED talk on Hildreth House’s new TV; a discussion will follow the program. Drinks and popcorn will be provided. Call 978-456-4120 to reserve a seat.


Calling symphony fans

The Council on Aging’s program coordinator is asking seniors who are interested in attending the October 8 open rehearsal of the Boston Symphony Orchestra to contact her as soon as possible so she can buy tickets by August 3. Tickets are $30.
