Opportunity to vote on Hildreth House improvements
Parking and access improvements at Hildreth House will be up for a vote (Article 22) at Annual Town Meeting, Saturday, March 28, and at the Town Election, Tuesday, April 7. According to the Hildreth House Improvement Committee, the building lacks safe, adequate parking and full access for anyone who cannot climb stairs. The warrant article asks for funding for improvements, including a lift for access to the second floor, re-grading and lighting for the parking lot, and accessible entries.
Senior Conference
State Senator Jamie Eldridge will host a conference on topics of interest to seniors Thursday, April 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hudson High School, 69 Brigham St., Hudson. The event will include workshops on nutrition, financial management, home safety, and other topics. Continental breakfast and lunch will be included. On the road with COA
- Concord and Lexington. The Council on Aging will visit the Concord Museum, Lexington Visitor Center, and Minuteman Visitor Center Monday, April 27. The van will depart at 8:15 a.m. Highlights will include the exhibit “The Art of Baseball” at Concord Museum, and a multimedia presentation, “The Road to Revolution,” depicting Paul Revere’s ride and the battles at Lexington Green, at North Bridge, and along the Battle Road. - Naval War College Museum. On Wednesday, May 6, the Council on Aging will leave Harvard at 8 a.m. for a trip to the Naval War College Museum in Newport, Rhode Island. The day will start with a 10 a.m. guided tour, followed by lunch in Newport. A background check is required prior to entering the naval base, so early sign-up is necessary.
