School Committee members and school administrators got personal tutorials in iPad use from an enthusiastic group of fifth-graders who are using the devices for their 1:World curriculum. Maggie Redinger, Ryan McNulty, Norah Pride, Tyler Tracy, Javen Graham, Olivia Ren, Julia Clark, Robin Miller, and Danielle Lawton each worked with one of the grownups to demonstrate apps they use in class and at home.
School Committee Chairwoman SusanMary Redinger praised the students’ enthusiasm for the devices. Other committee members agreed with Bob Sullebarger when he said, “It’s scary how fast they were going! … If we ever had any questions about the investment we made [in the iPads], they evaporated tonight.”
