I am writing in the hope of revealing one of Harvard’s best kept secrets: Open mic night at the Center on the Common. On the third Thursday of each month, folks have an opportunity to perform, and since last spring audiences have heard talented people offering folk music, original songwriting, poetry, old-time fiddling, and even some good old three-chord rock ‘n’ roll. This is a fun event and would be even better with bigger audiences and more performers. The next open mic night is Thursday, Oct. 16. Come check it out.
