With a second-place finish and a time of 9:56.01 in the 2-mile run, junior harrier Price Day set the pace for the Bromfield School at the Division 5 state championships.
Held at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston on Wednesday, Feb. 12 more than 40 high schools competed in the girls and boys events.
Day wasn’t the only member of the Trojan indoor track squad that made an impression during the meet. Competing in the women’s 2-mile event, sophomore Kate Toll posted a 12:24.36 mark in the race, good enough for 15th place out of 29 runners. Making waves in the 55-meter dash was sophomore Amy Hunter, whose time of 7.82 was strong enough to earn 14th place out of 67 runners. Rounding out the meet for the Trojans was junior Brianna Harte. Harte’s shot put measured 28-8.25, placing her 20th out of 28 athletes.
The Bromfield School ends its indoor track season with the meet.
