Register now for boat slips and canoe rack lottery
The Harvard Parks and Recreation Commission has opened registration for those who want to enter the lottery for boat slips and kayak and canoe racks at Bare Hill Pond. Residents may enter the lottery now through March 2. To register, visit www.harvardparkandrec.org. The drawing will take place Monday, March 3.
LEGO judges needed
Adult judges with expertise as architects, carpenters, engineers, designers, artists, LEGO experts, etc. are needed for all age groups for the library’s annual LEGO Expo Saturday, March 1. Judges may volunteer to judge from one to three age groups in this opportunity to witness the creativity of Harvard’s children. If interested, contact Children’s Librarian Abby Kingsbury in the Children’s Room at the library or by calling 978-456-2381 by Feb. 14.
Clothes drive donations sought
The fifth-grade Peer Leadership Team is collecting children’s clothing of all sizes through Feb. 14. They will appreciate donations of clean, gently used items in good condition, including shirts, pants, sweatshirts, sweatpants, sweaters, jackets, coats, mittens, pajamas, shoes, sneakers, and boots. New underwear, socks, and hats can be donated if in packages or with a price tag attached. Donations for the clothes drive may be left in Guidance Counselor Christine Reale’s office Monday through Friday until Friday, Feb. 14.
