Richard Bates Harris, Esq., 81 years old, of Leominster, formerly a resident of Harvard, passed away on Dec. 22, 2013, after a long and gallant battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Born and raised in Belmont, Richard graduated from Rochester University and New England School of Law. He had his law office in Leominster for over 30 years and was a member of the Northern Middlesex, Worcester and Northern Worcester County Bar Associations.

Born and raised in Belmont, Richard graduated from Rochester University and New England School of Law. He had his law office in Leominster for more than 30 years and was a member of the Northern Middlesex, Worcester, and Northern Worcester County Bar associations.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn Guest; brother Donald Harris and his wife Ruth; three nephews of Williamsburg, Va. and Madrid, Spain, and various cousins.

Richard’s family wishes to thank HealthAlliance Hospital physicians, visiting nurses, and hospice for all their efforts during the long journey of Richard’s illness.

Visiting hours were held Dec. 28, at the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, Leominster. Funeral services were private. In Richard’s memory, please make a donation to your favorite charity.
