60-year Harvard resident, active in St. Theresa’s Church

Doris A. (Paquette) Johnston, 79, of Old Mill Road, died Dec. 22, 2013, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Brighton.
She leaves two daughters, Paula K. Johnston of Harvard, and Lori A. Lucy and her husband, Robert, of Shirley; a son, Alan B. Johnston of Bedford, N.H.; four grandchildren, Robert Lucy III, Allison Lucy, Ashley Johnston, and Kayla Johnston; a brother, Norman Paquette of Nashua, N.H.; and sisters Jane Gingras of Nashua, N.H., and Yvette Bechard of LaVergne, Tenn.
She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Paul V. Johnston, who died in 2009, and a son, Steven M. Johnston, who died in 1978.
Mrs. Johnston was born in Nashua, Feb. 22, 1934, a daughter of John and Maria (Bilodeau) Paquette, and was a 1952 graduate of Nashua High School. She resided in Harvard for nearly 60 years, was an active member of St. Theresa’s Church, and had served on its finance committee. Mrs. Johnston worked as a bookkeeper at the Clothes Corner in Harvard and at the Campers Inn in Ayer.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Dec. 28, at Holy Trinity Parish. Burial was at Bellevue Cemetery.
