Sale at Bargains in the Belfry
Bargains in the Belfry, the clothing consignment shop located upstairs in the belfry of the Harvard Unitarian Church, will begin its sale on Tuesday, Nov. 19. Items marked with a green dot will be discounted by 10 percent, and many great items of men’s and women’s clothing will be available. The shop is open every Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is also open on the first and third Sundays of each month from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Entrance is through the side door near the front of the church. Prospective delegates wanted for Mass. GOP Convention
The Mass. Republican State Convention will be held March 22, 2014, in Boston to nominate Republican candidates for statewide offices in preparation for 2014 elections. The Harvard Republican Town Committee, at its monthly meeting on Jan. 15, 2014, will select Harvard’s delegates and alternates to the convention. To be eligible for selection, a Harvard resident must be a registered Republican voter as of Dec. 1. Residents interested in serving as delegates or alternates should ensure that their voter registrations are correct by visiting the Town Clerk’s office during normal business hours. Deadline for reduced-rate sewer connections is Jan. 9
The Sewer Commission wants to remind residents that applications for town sewer connections will be accepted, along with the $1,000 connection fee, up until Jan. 9, 2014. If approved, connections must take place within 90 days. Applications submitted after Jan. 9, 2014, must be accompanied by a $2,000 connection fee and the inspection fee will no longer be waived. Approximate cost of the inspection fee is $250.
