Celebration 2013 needs props
Want to help with Celebration 2013— the community-supported, substance-free, after prom event— but don’t know how? One way to help is to donate or lend an item needed to decorate the school in the super-secret theme. The list of items needed—they will be returned—includes:

- nine bean bag chairs in solid colors, including blue, black, and gray

- deep armoire for hanging clothes

EMT information session
The Harvard Ambulance Service is an all-volunteer service that, every year, trains community members to be EMTs and ambulance drivers. For anyone who wants to learn more about the service and becoming an EMT or a driver, there will be an information session Tuesday, May 14, at 7 p.m. at the Public Safety Building 40 Ayer Road.
Community Preservation Act update
Katherine Roth, Assistant Director of the Community Preservation Coalition, will be at the Harvard Community Preservation Committee meeting on Wednesday, May 15.
Ms. Roth will be making a short presentation on all of the recent changes to the Community Preservation Act (CPA), including some of the more interesting and lesser known amendments. She’ll also talk about the status of the CPA’s statewide trust fund, future CPA legislation on Beacon Hill, CPA project trends statewide, helpful CPA best practices, and other CPA news.
Anyone interested in learning more about the Community Preservation Act is welcome to attend. The meeting will be at 7:30 pm in the Harvard Town Hall meeting room.
