The use of guns for crimes of this type must stop!
The Second Amendment of the Constitution was written in 1791 (over 200 years ago), the right to bear arms. That right was more used to provide food for the dinner table.
People have been trying for years to take this amendment off the books. Stop trying! Let’s just make it hard to own a weapon for destructive purposes!
- All weapons must be purchased in a store and never on the internet.
- A sales tax of 50 percent will be paid at time of purchase (e.g., a $400 purchase will have a sales tax of $200).
- An excise tax or use tax will be charged yearly at the rate of $50 per $100 for as long as the weapon is owned (that would be $200, this is similar to an automobile, except that the weapon will never decrease in value).
The real solution to the problem is ammo! People cannot be murdered with guns that are not loaded.
- All ammo will be sold in state-run locations similar to the DMV, under the eyes of police personnel.
- No more than 10 rounds will be sold at any time.
- The cost of a round will vary depending on the caliber of the rifle (minimum cost would be $1 per unit of ammo).
- Before any following purchase of ammo is made, the spent casings will have to be turned in to the store clerk.
The key in gun control is obvious. Control the ammunition.
