At 8:06 p.m., police returned some property they had been holding for safekeeping for a Harvard resident.
Wednesday, Nov. 28
At 8:16 a.m., police received a report of a dog found near Dunkin’ Donuts on Ayer Road. Police contacted the dog’s owner, who came to pick it up.
Thursday, Nov. 29
At 2:26 p.m., a driver reported being run off Poor Farm road by an erratically driven vehicle. Police searched the area but did not locate the vehicle.
Friday, Nov. 30
At 7:05 a.m., a woman came to the police station to speak to an officer about a traffic citation she had received. At 7:43 a.m., police received a report of a brush fire at an Ayer Road address. The property owner reported soon that the fire was under control and fire department response was not necessary. At 8:31 a.m., police investigated a report of a car in the driveway of an Old Littleton Road home that was for sale. According to police, the vehicle belonged to the new owner of the house, who was moving in. At 2:43 p.m., police investigated a report of breaking and entering at a home on Depot Road. Police say the suspect appeared to have entered the home through the front door, which was damaged. A resident there reported jewelry missing, police say. The incident remains under investigation.
Saturday, Dec. 1
At 9:49 a.m., police investigated a motor vehicle accident on Stow Road. According to police, a car was found there off the road and leaking fluids. The car was unoccupied. Police contacted the owner of the vehicle, who said he had secured tow service on his own. The incident remains under investigation. At 4:20 p.m., police responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on Willard Lane. According to police, conditions were icy on Willard Lane that afternoon and a car had slid into a tree, resulting in minor injuries to the two occupants of the car. The driver and passenger were taken to Emerson Hospital for treatment and the car was towed, police say. No citations were issued in the incident.
Sunday. Dec. 2
At 8:02 a.m., a Willard Lane resident reported damage to a tree caused by a hit and run accident. Police searched the area and report locating a car that looked as if it could have been damaged by hitting a tree. Police are still investigating the incident.
Monday, Dec. 3
At 8:30 a.m., a Poor Farm Road resident reported her backyard gate was open. It was normally latched, the resident told police. Police did not find anything out of order at the home. At 11:45 a.m., someone dropped off money found in Harvard at the police station. Police are still waiting for the money’s owner to come claim it. At 1:18 p.m., police responded to a report of a verbal dispute at a Poor Farm Road home. Police informed the disputants of their legal rights.
