Harvard Pro Musica welcomes new singers
Harvard Pro Musica invites local singers to join it when the group reconvenes after the New Year on Tuesday, Jan. 8, to prepare for a May 4 performance of 21st century choral music, featuring music by Morten Lauridsen, Tarik O’Regan, and Benjamin Britten. The spring program will feature “Lux Aeterna” by Lauridsen with chorus and organ, Tarik O’Regan’s “Triptych” with chorus, soprano soloist, and string orchestra, as well as Benjamin Britten’s “Rejoice in the Lamb” with chorus, soloists, and organ.
Harvard Pro Musica welcomes new singers in all parts.
Rehearsals are on Tuesdays from 7:30 to 9:45 p.m. at the Harvard Unitarian Universalist Church, 9 Ayer Road (at the top of the Common).

Styrofoam recycling
Harvard residents can recycle their Styrofoam and other plastic foam products at the transfer station on Saturday, Dec. 29, from 8 a.m. to noon. This event is organized by local Girl Scout Jane Sullebarger. Information on the types of Styrofoam products accepted is available from the recycler’s website at refoamit.com.
This event will be held regardless of weather conditions. The next Styrofoam recycling event at the transfer station is scheduled for May 11.
Town Hall holiday hours
Town Hall will be closed on Dec. 24 and 25 and will be open for regular business hours on Monday, Dec. 31.
