At 7:46 p.m., a Myrick Lane resident called to tell police she thought she had seen someone’s head outside the second floor of her house and heard the sound of a ladder being placed against the house. Police checked the area, but, they report, they did not find anyone suspicious.
Wednesday, Oct. 3
At 6:54 a.m., the Myrick Lane woman again called police to report she found footprints around her house. Police report the woman’s suspicions were “unfounded.” At 9:51 a.m., an Ayer woman stopped by the police station to inquire about a traffic citation issued in Groton by the Groton Police. Harvard Police referred the woman to the Groton Police.
Thursday, Oct. 4
At 8:09 a.m., police arrested Aaron Kasabian, 19, of 97 Poor Farm Road, on an outstanding warrant. According to police, the warrant was issued by Clinton District Court for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon after Kasabian failed to show up for a scheduled court appearance. Police transported Kasabian to Clinton District Court at 9:03 a.m.
Friday, Oct. 5
At 10:42 a.m., the Department of Public Works reported finding graffiti on an exterior wall of the Harvard Public Library, on Pond Road. The graffiti consisted of pictures of faces, police say. The Department of Public Works removed the graffiti. Police say they have no suspects in the case. At 2:23 p.m., police received a report of a motorcycle accident on West Bare Hill Road near Scott Road. According to police, the motorcyclist had slipped on some sand and fallen over. The motorcyclist refused an ambulance and rode away, police say. At 8:46 p.m., police investigated a suspicious vehicle parked in a traffic circle on Trail Ridge Way. The car checked out, police say.
Saturday, Oct. 6
At 1:38 a.m., a resident of Simon Atherton Road told police his dogs were barking and he had seen a white male teenager wearing green or blue running away from his house. Police checked the area but didn’t find anyone matching that description. At 12:36 p.m., a vendor at the Harvard Flea Market reported to police someone had stolen about $300 worth of jewelry from her booth. The vendor said she discovered the jewelry was missing at the end of the Flea Market when she realized there was more jewelry missing than she sold. The case is under investigation, police say. At 4:18 p.m., a Stow Road woman reported damage to the windows of her car. Police report that because valuables hadn’t been removed from the car, the damage didn’t appear to have been done on purpose.
Sunday, Oct. 7
At 11:33 a.m., the Seeds of Faith Community Church on Ayer Road asked police to remove an unwanted guest from the building. Police responded but the unwanted person was gone by the time they arrived, police report. At 8:24 p.m., police stopped a driver for speeding on Massachusetts Avenue near Slough Road and found the driver was driving with a suspended license. Police issued the driver a court summons and had the vehicle towed.
Monday, Oct. 8
At 9:42 a.m., police checked and cleared a building on Lancaster County Road after a commercial burglar alarm went off.
