Tuesday, Sept. 4
At 10:03 a.m., a resident of Still River Road reported a suspicious tanker truck with New Hampshire plates pumping something near the town line. Police investigated, but report the truck was gone on their arrival. At 4:30 p.m., someone called police from a home on Poor Farm Road to report a man with an arrest warrant against him was in the home. Police say the man wasn’t there when they arrived.
Wednesday, Sept. 5
At 8:38 a.m., police investigated a motor vehicle accident on Ayer Road. According to police, a car collided with the back of a tractor that had slowed to turn into the driveway of a farm there. Police say the car suffered front end damage and had to be towed away. There were no injuries reported. The driver of the car was issued a citation for failure to yield, police say. At 4:26 p.m., police received a report someone was standing by the side of the road on Ayer Road. Police investigated, and report the man was waiting for, and received, a ride.
Thursday, Sept. 6
At 5:59 p.m., someone reported a lost or stolen credit card at a Littleton County Road location. No further information is available on the incident.
Friday, Sept. 7
At 3:12 p.m., police received a report that a female student was bitten by a dog at the Bromfield School on Massachusetts Avenue. Police say the girl was taken to the hospital for treatment and the case was referred to the town’s animal control officer.
Saturday, Sept. 8
At 6:38 p.m., a man reported he had hit a deer while driving on West Bare Hill Road, but was unable to stay at the scene. The deer was still alive, the man said. Police responded to the scene, but report the deer was gone.
Sunday, Sept. 9
At 9:28 a.m., a Littleton County Road woman told police that noise from the nearby Harvard Sportsman’s Club woke her up. Harvard Police referred the call to Boxborough Police, because the club’s property is in that town. At noon, police responded to a report of a verbal dispute at an Ayer Road address. As a result of the incident, police say, one person was taken to the hospital. At 2:05 p.m., someone complained of a missing sign in the center of town. Police told the person to contact the town Parks and Recreation Commission. At 3:14 p.m., the owner of a farm stand on Still River Road reported someone had stolen money from the stand. The thief had left by car about 10 minutes before he called, the farmer said. Police say the incident is under investigation. At 9:13 p.m., a resident of Westcott Road reported hearing six gunshots in the area. Police searched the area, but report finding nothing.
Monday, Sept. 10
At 7:25 a.m., police investigated a one-car accident on Warren Avenue. The driver, police say, had pressed the gas pedal when she meant to press the brakes and went off the road. There were no injuries, police said, but the car had to be towed away. The driver was not issued a citation. At 8:17 p.m., police investigated a suspicious vehicle parked at the conservation area on South Shaker Road after sunset. The two occupants of the vehicle said they had stopped to smoke cigarettes, police say. Police gave the pair a verbal trespass notice and sent them on their way.
