At 8:58 a.m., police responded to a home on Bolton Road for a report of suspicious activity. A resident there said the trash can in front of the house was open. Upon further investigation, it appeared nothing was missing from the trash can, police say. At 2:11 p.m., Hopkinton Police asked Harvard Police to tell a resident of East Bare Hill Road they had recovered a license plate that had fallen off a trailer belonging to that person. The trailer owner wasn’t home to receive the message, police say. At 1:45 p.m., police received a report of a truck blocking Ayer Road. It was a cable company truck, police say, and it was blocking an entire lane. Police stood by until the truck’s driver was done with his work.

At 11:52 a.m., a man came to the police station to discuss a problem he had with work being done at his house. Police told the man it was a civil matter. At 3:07 p.m., Harvard’s fire chief and a police officer spoke to two young people about fires.
Thursday, March 1
At 5:03 a.m., the town Department of Public Works reported to police an erratic driver sliding all over the road and stopping and starting on East Bare Hill Road near Brown Road. Police searched the area but report they did not locate the vehicle. At 7:27 a.m., police investigated an accident on West Bare Hill Road, at the intersection with Bowers Road, involving a town vehicle. According to police, a town vehicle stopped at the intersection and a vehicle behind it was unable to stop in time and hit it. Conditions were snowy that morning. There were no injuries and neither vehicle had to be towed, police say. At 1:18 p.m., police received a report of a vehicle sliding all over the road on Ayer Road near the intersection with Still River Road. Police searched the area but report they could not locate the car. At 1:24 p.m., police responded to an accident on West Bare Hill Road. A car had run into a utility pole, police say; there were no injuries.
Friday, March 2
At 2:17 a.m., police received a report from a resident of an apartment building on Ayer Road that it sounded as if the residents of another apartment were yelling and throwing things. An officer responded to the apartment with Ayer Police as backup. A resident of that apartment told police she had got into an argument with another woman there over a missing earring, police say. Neither woman pressed charges. Police say they confiscated drug paraphernalia from the apartment, which the residents claimed they were using to smoke mugwort, an herb that can be purchased legally.
Saturday, March 3
At 6:44 a.m., police investigated a two-car accident on Still River Road near the intersection with Willow Road. According to police, the driver of one car crossed the center line and hit a car coming the other way head-on. Both drivers were taken to the Nashoba Valley Medical Center for treatment. There were no other passengers in the cars, police say. Police say the accident may have been a result of icy conditions. No citations were issued. The drivers were not seriously injured, police say. At 9:07 a.m., police escorted a man who was under a restraining order to pick up some of his belongings from a Harvard address.
Sunday, March 4
At 2:54 a.m., police investigated a car that was parked along Prospect Hill Road with its engine running and its lights off. Police gave the driver of the car a field sobriety test, which, they say, he passed. Police sent the man on his way. At 4:18 p.m., a resident of Sherry Road said a dog had broken into a chicken coop earlier that day and killed some chickens. Police referred the incident to the animal control officer. At 4:32 p.m., at the request of some family members, police checked on the welfare of an Oak Hill Road resident. The resident was fine and told the responding officer he had the flu and didn’t feel up to answering the phone.
Monday, March 5
At 2:05 a.m., police investigated two suspicious motor vehicles parked at an Ayer Road parking lot. The drivers of both vehicles, a male and a female, were asleep in one of the vehicles, police say. Police sent the drivers on their way. At 12:18 p.m., a resident of Granite View Lane asked to speak to an officer about a note her husband had received. No further information is available on the incident. At 8:26 p.m., police investigated a report of suspicious activity on South Shaker Road. According to police, three comedians were on their way to New Hampshire for a performance and stopped to hunt for ghosts at the Shaker cemetery and a nearby abandoned building. The men had found the location on a ghost-hunting website, police say. Police told the men they were trespassing and sent them on their way.
