At 2:36 p.m., a Stow resident reported being bitten by a dog while jogging on Bolton Road. The matter was referred to the town’s animal control officer.
Wednesday, February 8
At 7:41 a.m., someone called police to report spotting a driver running the blinking lights and passing a bus near the Bromfield School. Police say they called and spoke to the registered owner of the vehicle. At 9:20 a.m., a caller asked police to check on the well-being of her father, a Harvard resident. The man was fine, police say. At 12:55 p.m., a Harvard resident called police to report his wife was missing. According to police, when they responded to the home, the missing woman answered the door. She had been in another part of the house when her husband called, police say. At 3:58 p.m., police and the fire department responded to Myrick Lane for a permitted brush fire that had gotten out of control.
Thursday, February 9
At 8:23 p.m., Harvard Police helped a resident file for an emergency 209A abuse prevention order. Police then served that order at a Stow Road address at 10:28 p.m.
Friday, February 10
At 2:57 p.m., police helped a Still River Road resident file for a 209A abuse prevention order. Police later served that order at an address in Devens at 6:01 p.m. At 4:06 p.m., police helped a Harvard resident obtain a harassment prevention order against a Worcester resident. Worcester Police later served the order in Worcester on Saturday, Feb. 11. At 10:14 p.m., police investigated a report of a suspicious motor vehicle parked on South Shaker Road with a couple of people in it. Police say they checked the area but could not locate the people.
Saturday, February 11
At 10:17 p.m., police investigated a vehicle parked after dark at the overlook on Prospect Hill Road. No further information on the incident is available.
Sunday, February 12
At 9:14 a.m., a resident of Old Littleton Road called police because, the caller reported, someone from an insurance company was asking to be let inside to take pictures of her house. Police advised the caller not to let the person into her house without first speaking directly to the insurance company.
Monday, February 13
At 9:47 a.m., an officer reported to Fitchburg for a court date. At 2:40 p.m., police received a report of a dog bite on Old Shirley Road. Police referred the matter to the animal control officer. At 9:42 p.m., police investigated a suspicious motor vehicle at an address on Poor Farm Road. The incident is still under investigation, police say.
