The Harvard Woman’s Club welcomed three of the six scholarship recipients at their Monday luncheon meeting. Grace Tuttle, of Providence College, Matt Zimmer, of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and Brett Keating, of Wesleyan University, talked about their first semester at school.
They were impressive, articulate, and entertaining, according to the other attendees.
The recipients who could not attend the meeting were Josh Zimmer, of Bates College, Meaghan Bradshaw, of Mount Wachusett Community College, and Jacquelyn McHugh, of Westfield State University. They sent notes expressing their appreciation of the scholarship award.
Each year, the Harvard Woman’s Club chooses from 70 applicants to award scholarship money. Scholarship awards are one of the many programs that the Woman’s Club supports. Some of their fundraising endeavors are cookbooks and tote bags, which can be purchased at the Harvard General Store and Westward Orchards. The Woman’s Club will also be holding an arts and crafts fair called Handmade Harvard on March 3 at the Fellowship Hall.
