Still River resident Doug Blanton recently traveled to Long Beach, Calif. to compete in the Men’s National Gymnastics Championships. Blanton is a Level 10 USAG Junior Olympic gymnast representing the Region 6 Men’s Team, which is composed of the top 50 athletes from Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. Blanton competed in the 16- to 18-year-old division.
