It was a standing-room-only crowd at Volunteers Hall last Saturday night as the Harvard Friends of the Arts presented the third annual Community Talent Show. More than 15 talented Harvardites, ranging in age from 15 to senior citizen, presented a lively, funny, and very impressive program. We enjoyed solo acts, a band and duets, including a dad-daughter team and a husband-wife team. The enthusiastic crowd was treated to a variety of music, ranging from Rogers and Hammerstein to Coldplay to several original compositions. There was even some Shakespeare for good measure.
It takes an amazing amount of volunteer time, effort, and talent to put together this program. We want to thank chairperson Di Hall for pulling everything together so well. Many others contributed as well:

Of course, we also thank the wonderful performers for putting on a great show, and the parents of our younger performers for their support as well.
As always, we thank the Harvard Public Library staff and Director Mary Wilson for their able assistance, and the Trustees for financial support.
Our next event is the return of fabulous Cambridge cabaret singer Bobbi Carrey and her trio Saturday, April 30.
Lastly, the Friends annual book sale, which helps fund HFOA programs, will be held in the old library again this year. Book collection starts Saturday, April 9. The sale will be on the weekends of May 7 and 14.
