Tuesday, June 15
As a result of a random plate query on a passing car, a police officer stopped the car at 7:04 a.m. and issued a summons to the driver for operating an uninsured vehicle and driving with a suspended registration. The car was towed. At 8:57 a.m. police received a report of vandalism to a construction truck on Sholan Circle. A contractor working in the area had left the truck there and returned to find that someone had put sticks and other debris into the gas tank. At 11:21 a.m. someone who was driving on Codman Hill Road called to report suspicions about a black convertible with the top down, headed for Harvard, occupied by three young men who were slouching down in the car. Police did not locate the vehicle. At 12:55 p.m. a Stow Road resident reported that a white van had driven into the driveway. The vehicle was gone when police arrived. At 1:34 p.m. the ambulance took a woman to Nashoba Valley Medical Center from an Old Littleton Road residence.
Wednesday, June 16
At 9:37 a.m. the ambulance transported a man from the transfer station, where he had fallen, to Nashoba Valley Medical Center. He was later air-lifted to UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester. At 12:03 p.m. someone turned in a man’s watch found at the basketball court at Bromfield; it is still at the station.
Thursday, June 17
A caller reported that horses were loose on Bolton Road at 12:38 p.m. Police were able to determine where they belonged and called the owner to round them up. At 1:13 p.m. a caller reported that her son had had a minor motorcycle accident near Depot and Craggs roads. The young man was taken to Emerson Hospital; the motorcycle was removed by a tow company. No citations were issued. At 2:24 p.m. a Depot Road resident who had just returned home from work reported that someone had broken into the house. Police found no sign of forced entry; the home had been left unlocked. Many items were taken, including a big-screen TV and jewelry. The case is under investigation. At 3 p.m. the ambulance transported a man to Nashoba Valley Medical Center from an Old Littleton Road residence.
Friday, June 18
An officer on patrol at 1:23 a.m. stopped at the Bromfield School to investigate an occupied car parked in the rear parking lot. After the driver told the officer that she was just looking at the school, she left the area. At 2:29 p.m. a Bolton Road resident reported hearing machinery running constantly for the past three days at a neighbor’s. Police contacted the neighbor, who turned off the noisy equipment. The Bolton Fire Department requested the assistance of the Harvard department in responding to a structure fire at 2:56 p.m. (See story, page 6.) At 5:31 p.m. police arrested 23-year-old Devens resident Hector Cintron on Pinnacle Road for violation of a restraining order. At 6:30 p.m. Harvard firefighters were asked to respond to a lawnmower fire in Bolton on Still River Road, since the Bolton department was still occupied with the house fire on Hudson Road. A young man called from an Ann Lees Road residence at 6:58 p.m. to report that he was being attacked by his brother. The boys’ father had returned home and restored order by the time police arrived, but police advised both young men of their rights to file a restraining order.
Saturday, June 19
At 2:50 a.m. Boxborough police requested the assistance of Harvard officers in responding to a noise disturbance call. At 3:31 a.m. Boxborough police again requested Harvard’s assistance, this time at a motor vehicle stop and field sobriety test. A Littleton Road resident called at 7:41 a.m. to report a hit-and-run accident with property damage. His mailbox had been knocked down, and a nearby stop sign was bent. The responding officer notified the Department of Public Works to fix the sign. At 10:11 a.m. a Whitney Lane resident reported hearing a gunshot. Police checked the area, but found nothing. At 10:40 a.m. Bolton police asked Harvard officers to check the Still River Road area for a gold Suburban with Florida plates. The vehicle had been seen stopped in front of a Bolton home and the driver had gotten out and taken pictures. Detective Greg Newman located and stopped the vehicle and notified Bolton police, who arrived on the scene to question the driver. A caller reported at 1:02 p.m. that there had been a small white car in an accident near the intersection of Ayer and Old Shirley roads. Police checked the area, but found no car. At 8:10 p.m. a caller on Still River Road reported seeing a smoking airplane go down in the area of Wachusett Mountain. The officer on duty speculated that the incident may have been part of training exercises at Devens, but notified the state police.
Sunday, June 20
A book bag that was found near Still River Road and Turner Lane at 1:53 a.m. is still at the station. At 11:02 a.m. a woman called the station to express concerns about a man she had met in an Internet chat room. She was advised to stay away from that website. A caller from the Seeds of Faith Community Church reported damage to a glass window. The investigating officer said it appeared to have been damaged by a BB gun or air rifle. The case is under investigation. At 8:06 p.m. a woman stopped at the station with a sword-type weapon that she did not want in her home. Police stored it for safekeeping. At 10:24 p.m. a caller on Brown Road reported that a white car had been parked in the area for more than an hour. Police found the car, and nearby found what appeared to be a campfire in a pit in a fenced-in area on property owned by Fairbanks Construction. No one was in the area. Police received permission from the property owner to cut the lock on the fence to get at the fire, and called the Fire Department to extinguish the fire. Police notified the car’s owner, from Stow, that the car was going to be towed for blocking the access of emergency vehicles. At 10:35 p.m. a Peninsula Road resident reported that there was a car in the driveway of a neighbor, who wasn’t at home. Before police arrived the resident called back to say that the car had left. Police checked the area, but found no one.
Monday, June 21
A caller reported at 1:39 a.m. that she had hit a deer with her car on Warren Ave. She was uninjured and there was no damage to the car; the deer left the scene. Someone stopped at the station at 3:42 p.m. to speak with an officer about skateboarders on Pinnacle Road.
