Harvard police recently formed the Harvard Police Association, an alliance of Harvard officers dedicated to supporting charitable, civic, and fraternal endeavors. A press release issued last week by the Police Department states that the organization is “dedicated to community involvement as well as assisting our police officers and their families during times of illness, crisis, and death.”
According to Sgt. Jim Babu, the association will be kicking off its first fund drive this week; all funds will go to the organization and the causes it plans to support, such as Loaves & Fishes, Toys for Tots, the American Red Cross, and the American Cancer Society.
