At 2:23 a.m. and again at 2:31 a.m. an officer on patrol noticed cars parked at the overlook on Prospect Hill Road, and since it was after the hours when cars are authorized to be there, asked the drivers to move along.
Wednesday, November 18
A Woodside Road resident called at 6:55 a.m. to report that his car had been stolen; he later discovered it had been repossessed.
Thursday, November 19
At 10:02 a.m. a Still River Road resident called the station seeking legal advice. The ambulance transported a woman from a West Bare Hill Road residence to Nashoba Valley Medical Center at 1:51 p.m. At 5:11 p.m. the ambulance transported a man to Emerson Hospital from a Depot Road address. A caller reported at 6:24 p.m. that he had seen a car strike a deer on Ayer Road. The Department of Public Works was called to remove the carcass from the road. At 9:04 p.m. a caller reported seeing a young child walking along the road near Finn Road and Hillcrest Drive. An officer located and spoke to the child and determined there was no cause for alarm.
Friday, November 20
At 10:17 a.m. the ambulance responded to a request for assistance at the scene of an accident in the eastbound lane of Route 2. The Jaws of Life were used to remove two people from the car. The Ayer ambulance also responded to the scene. Each ambulance took one person to Emerson Hospital. At 10:34 a.m. the Bolton ambulance responded to a medical call while the Harvard ambulance was occupied with the Route 2 accident, and transported a woman to Emerson Hospital from a Woodside Road address. At 11:06 a.m. an officer on patrol noticed someone at the observatory on Pinnacle Road, and found it was someone from Harvard University unloading items to be placed in the building. At 11:45 a.m. a car accidentally backed into the stop sign at the General Store and knocked it down. There was no visible damage to the vehicle, no injuries, and no citations. The DPW was notified to repair the sign. The Harvard ambulance responded to the scene of an accident on Route 2 westbound at 2:18 p.m. One person was taken to Nashoba Valley Medical Center; four people refused treatment. At 8:43 p.m. a driver reported striking a deer on Ayer Road. The DPW was called to remove the animal’s carcass from the road. At 11:44 p.m. Harvard police assisted Boxborough police with a situation at the Holiday Inn.
Saturday, November 21
At 7:43 a.m. a caller reported a power outage on Park Lane after hearing a “loud bang.” Police checked the area, but found nothing unusual, and notified National Grid of the outage. At 3:13 p.m. the ambulance took a woman to Emerson Hospital from a Woodside Road address. At 5:26 p.m. a West Bare Hill Road resident was taken by ambulance to Nashoba Valley Medical Center.
Sunday, November 22
At 10:36 p.m. a caller reported seeing a car with someone sleeping in it parked on conservation land. Police investigated, but found nothing in the vehicle other than a basketball. They contacted the vehicle’s owner, who said her son, who had been driving the car, was in the conservation area with some friends.
Monday, November 23
An officer on patrol at 10:49 a.m. stopped to investigate someone seen at the observatory on Pinnacle Road, and found it was a technician addressing a problem with a data link that was down. At 12:30 p.m. a woman was taken by ambulance to Marlborough Hospital from a West Bare Hill Road address. A Harris Lane resident placed a 911 call at 9:29 p.m. and reported that his wife was intoxicated and was fighting with him. Police advised both people of their rights regarding restraining orders.
