At 7:12 p.m. the Harvard ambulance responded to the scene of a motorcycle-auto accident on Route 2 and transported the operator of the motorcycle to Emerson Hospital. An officer on patrol removed traffic cones from the roadway on Stow Road at 8:16 p.m.
Wednesday, October 7
At 5:32 a.m. a worker at the Department of Public Works building reported that someone had broken a window in the building; nothing appeared to have been taken. Police are investigating. An Old Littleton Road resident called the station at 4:12 p.m. to report the smell of smoke in the home. Firefighters responding found a power strip that had burned out while a generator was in use. Boxborough police called for assistance in responding to a call about a house alarm.
Thursday, October 8
The ambulance responded to a medical emergency at an Old Mill Road residence at 10:45 a.m.
Friday, October 9
At 5:12 a.m. a fire officer responding to a call from a Candleberry Lane resident about a carbon monoxide alarm sounding found that the unit needed new batteries. A Park Lane resident called about some door-to-door solicitors at 10:32 a.m. Police asked the solicitors to check in with them in the future before canvassing Harvard neighborhoods. At 4:12 p.m. Harvard police were notified about an accident involving a golf cart at the Shaker Hills golf course. The Ayer ambulance transported one person to Emerson Hospital.
Saturday, October 10
A caller reported seeing a light of some kind at the top of a utility pole on Oak Hill Road at 6:42 a.m. An officer checked the pole and found nothing, but notified National Grid. At 10:32 a.m. the Boxborough ambulance transported a man from the Bromfield School to Nashoba Valley Medical Center, as there were not enough crew members available to man the Harvard ambulance. A Babbitt Lane resident reported smoke in the basement of his home at 11:46 a.m. Firefighters responded, found a problem with some electrical connections, and advised the homeowner to call an electrician.
Sunday, October 1
A Fairbank Street resident called at 1:32 a.m. to request that a fire officer check out his home after a carbon monoxide alarm sounded. The officer found no problem. Boxborough police requested the assistance of Harvard police at 2:59 a.m. in responding to a motor vehicle stop. An officer on patrol at 7:59 a.m. advised a Still River Road resident not to blow leaves into the roadway.
Monday, October 12
At 4:24 p.m. a caller on Brown Road requested advice concerning a stolen wallet.
