Harvard police announced this week that charges will be filed in the vandalism case that occurred over the summer, when several town fields were damaged by someone “doing donuts” on them with cars.
Officer Danielle Fortunato confirmed that charges will be filed against three 17-year-old Harvard residents—Evan Cochrane, Tyler Papazian, and Justin Warren. Each will face a total of 15 charges—three charges each in five separate incidents: defacing or vandalizing property, conspiracy to commit a crime, and use of a motor vehicle in the commission of a crime.
Property that was damaged in the incidents include the Ryan Fields on Depot Road, the field in front of the Bromfield School, and lawns in front of the library and in the front and back of the elementary school. Some of the fields were struck twice.
Bolton Police Chief Vincent Alfano told the Press this week that the three are also charged in at least four similar incidents in Bolton, where they will be charged with malicious destruction of property over $250. Each of the people who drove the cars involved will also be charged with reckless operation of a vehicle and endangerment, he said.
According to a spokesperson at Clinton District Court, no arraignment date has been set yet.
