Wednesday, February 11: At 1:59 a.m. an officer on patrol made note of an unoccupied car from Quebec parked near the McCurdy track. Someone stopped at the station at 8:25 a.m. looking for advice. At 10:53 a.m. an officer notified a tree worker on Brown Road that the company’s eight trucks, which were occupying about 800 feet of road, were creating a traffic hazard, and advised him to request a detail officer to direct traffic. Police notified National Grid at 2:12 p.m. of some low-hanging wires on Slough Road. An officer on patrol at 2:42 p.m. noticed a vehicle stuck in a snowbank on Slough Road and helped the driver get the car unstuck.
Thursday, February 12: At 8:34 a.m. the Harvard ambulance assisted the Devens Fire Department at an accident on the eastbound side of Route 2. Two people were taken to the hospital. Just before 3 p.m. a car slid into a snowbank on Ayer Road. The parents of the two teens in the car arrived on the scene and determined that the pair did not need to be taken to the hospital. The car was towed. An officer removed branches on Littleton Road at 4:30 p.m. At 4:49 p.m. a Depot Road resident reported problems with a carbon monoxide detector; a firefighter determined that the unit needed a new battery.
Friday, February 13: At 12:28 p.m. officers assisted a driver whose car was stuck on some ice on Mass. Ave. A Shaker Road caller requested police help at 12:36 p.m. to remove someone who was trespassing on his property. Police found that the two people were involved in a disagreement over some cows, a civil matter. Callers on Ayer and Pinnacle roads reported hearing gunshots at 4:26 and 4:27 p.m., respectively. Police checked the area but found nothing. The driver of a car on Pinnacle Road reported hitting a dog at 6:50 p.m. Police found the owner’s name on the dog’s collar and notified the pet’s owner.
Saturday, February 14: At 1 p.m. an officer noted that the unoccupied car from Quebec was still parked near McCurdy track.
Sunday, February 15: A woman was transported from a Still River Road address to Nashoba Valley Medical Center. At 4:36 p.m. a woman stopped at the police station looking for information about a restraining order.
Monday, February 16: A Whitney Road resident reported at 8:23 a.m. that someone had cut the chains suspending his mailbox from its post.
