Tuesday, December 30: The ambulance transported a man from a Littleton Road residence to Emerson Hospital at 4:31 p.m. A woman vacationing in Florida called the station at 5:35 p.m. with suspicions that someone was in her house. Police checked the residence and found it secure. At 10:37 p.m. a resident on Stow Road asked police to check out something in her cellar. Police found the cellar to be secure.
Wednesday, December 31: At 1:33 a.m. the ambulance transported a man to Nashoba Valley Medical Center. At 9:13 a.m. a car traveling on a snow-covered Old Littleton Road failed to negotiate a turn and skidded into some trees and rocks. The Harvard driver was given a written warning for speed, and the car was towed, with possible undercarriage damage. A car was reported off the road at Warren Ave. and Pond Road at 9:31 a.m. At 9:50 a.m. police responded to the report of a single-car accident on Ayer Road, caused when the driver lost control of the car on the snowy road and slid into a utility pole. The driver was cited for operating without a license, speeding, and failure to stay in marked lanes, and was treated at the scene for minor injuries. The car was towed. At 4:06 p.m. someone stopped at the station to speak with an officer about a suspicious phone call.
Thursday, January 1: At 1:44 p.m. Boxborough police notified Harvard police to be on the lookout for a vehicle being driven without license plates. No contact was made with the vehicle. A car was reported off the road at Ann Lee Road and Babbitt Lane at 11:24 p.m.
Friday, January 2: At 4:34 p.m. police responded to a report of a burglary at a residence on Westcott Road. The owners had arrived home to discover evidence of a forced entry through a rear door, and found a number of items stolen, including computer equipment and jewelry, valued at a few thousand dollars. The case is under investigation. Police at a Boston-area college campus notified Harvard police about a possible threat to a student from Harvard at 11:06 p.m.
Saturday, January 3: A motorist notified police at 4:30 p.m. about snow drifting across the road on Prospect Hill Road. Police notified the Department of Public Works.
Sunday, January 4: At 1:50 p.m. a watchful resident on Blanchard Road reported suspicions about a vehicle parked in a neighbor’s driveway, since the neighbor was believed to be on vacation. Police checked the residence and found that the neighbors had arrived home early from vacation. The ambulance transported a man from a Stow Road address to Nashoba Valley Medical Center at 7:50 p.m.
Monday, January 5: At 8:51 a.m. police were asked to investigate a suspicious phone message received at Town Hall. Police believe the call may have been from someone who dialed a wrong number. At 11:49 a.m. the ambulance transported a patient from a doctor’s office on Ayer Road to Nashoba Valley Medical Center. A caller on Pinnacle Road reported at 8:27 p.m. that people had been seen in the neighborhood possibly canvassing for donations. Police found it was students dropping off items that had been ordered through a school promotional program.
