Boys track edges Lunenburg

On Wednesday, Jan. 14, the Bromfield boys track team added another win to its record of 2–1, narrowly winning the meet against Lunenburg, 47.33 to 43.66.

Senior Ben Waldman fought hard for first place in the 600-meter run, beating Lunenburg’s senior Matt Perreault by a half-second. In the one-mile race, good teamwork placed senior Sam Dorward and freshman Nick Kronauer first and second, with times of 5:05 and 5:08 respectively, a good 21 seconds ahead of their competitors. Senior Nick Cleary placed second in the 55-meter hurdles, running a 10.4 second race. The first three spots were swept by Bromfield’s freshman Ellis Toll and juniors Tyler Papazian and Max Flaton.

The Bromfield boys track team has been increasing its workout schedule in an effort to end its season with a win against Oakmont this Saturday, Jan. 24.
