I am writing to offer my enthusiastic endorsement of Jen Benson for state representative of the 37th Middlesex District. Jen Benson was one of the first people that I met door-to-door when I ran for the seat in 2002. I remember the passion and commitment she had back then on moving her community forward. As someone who has worked closely with her over the past six years on important municipal issues, I know that she exhibits those same qualities today.
I have seen Jen become a leader on education in her hometown as chairwoman of the Lunenburg School Committee, witnessed her strong involvement in community activities, and believe she is committed to continuing the Democratic tradition of increased local aid, creating jobs, and protecting the environment for the district.
Running for state representative is unique in that candidates really are able to spend most of their time meeting voters and community leaders individually. Jen Benson is the only candidate who has done this thoroughly in each of the six towns, displaying a work ethic, thoughtfulness, and willingness to listen to people’s concerns that are truly impressive. Jen has earned my endorsement through these qualities, and I’m confident she will be a strong voice for the 37th Middlesex District as your next state representative.
I urge voters to join me in voting for Jen Benson for state representative on Tuesday, Nov. 4, to make sure that an experienced, dedicated, and accomplished leader represents us all.
Jamie Eldridge, D-Acton
State representative, 37th Middlesex District
