The following is a letter sent to the Board of Selectmen Jan. 16.
Lucy Wallace, chairman, and members of the Harvard Board of Selectmen:
Please accept this as my letter of resignation from the Harvard Community Cable Access Committee effective Jan. 31, 2008. I have proudly served on this committee for 13 years and while I need to step off at this time, I will continue to support the committee and its mission.
Harvard Cable is at a crossroad. Additional members are needed to bring new ideas and a fresh perspective, and with this renewed energy, a broader spectrum of programming could emerge.
I have so enjoyed the company of the hard-working committee members and volunteers that I have served with. We bonded over the good, the bad, and the ugly, whether it be executing a beautiful sequence of shots during a graduation ceremony or troubleshooting “technical hell” at the very start of a Town Meeting. This work has brought me many friends and a wonderful connection to the town.
I’m grateful to have had this opportunity.
