Thanks to Volunteer Fair volunteers

January 18, 2008

We wish to thank everyone who helped make Harvard’s first Volunteer Fair a resounding success. Representatives from more than 30 town organizations filled Volunteers Hall to share information and discuss opportunities with interested visitors. A palpable sense of community filled the room as people mingled, discussed ideas, and listened to the Nashoba Valley Concert Band.

The following people deserve a special thanks for volunteering their time and energy to help make the Volunteer Fair come together smoothly: Ruth Lovett-Smith, Holly Rothkopf, Liz and Rick Wood, Bonnie Sweeney, and Laura Martineau. Many thanks also to Mary Wilson and Abby Kingsbury, who answered questions and graciously facilitated the use of Volunteers Hall and the children’s room at the Harvard Public Library, and to the Council on Aging for generously lending tables for the event. Finally, thanks to everyone who came out to represent a group or to visit the fair. We look forward to doing it again next year.

The Volunteer Fair organizers:
