Market Math a success

November 23, 2007

The Roche Bros. Market Math Committee would like to extend a very big “thank-you” to the Harvard Schools Trust, Roche Bros., and the very many energetic and helpful volunteers of this year’s Market Math Night for fourth- and fifth-graders. The Harvard Schools Trust provided the financial means and support to make this happen for a fifth year in a row. Roche Bros. was extremely generous with its time and supplies. Mary Beth Banios, Gretchen Henry, and all the fourth- and fifth-grade teachers were supportive throughout. And as far as the volunteers—they made it happen! From copying and folding lots of paper, to setting up at Roche Bros., welcoming the children with grand smiles, convincing young tykes that pickles could really taste good, helping kids weigh apples, and more—they did it all and did it well! Feedback from the families and children is very positive, and Roche Bros. is very happy with the whole event. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year.
