On Dec. 13 Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry will be holding its annual shop for your kids day at the pantry, at 234 Barnum Road, Devens. On that day all of our clients can come in and pick out free gifts and books for their children.
We need new books for children, from infants through high school age. The wonderful staff at Indian Hill Music in Littleton has offered their music school at 36 King St. in Littleton to be our primary drop-off point for new books or for cash donations to purchase new books. Books can be dropped off at Indian Hill or at the Littleton Police Station (20 Foster St.) from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays. They should be unwrapped so we can categorize them by age. A list of suggested books for all ages is available at Loaves & Fishes’ website, www.devenspantry.org.
We urge people to help make this a special holiday for the more than 400 families who come to Loaves & Fishes by bringing new books to Indian Hill Music Center, the Littleton Police Department, or any of our drop-off boxes by Dec. 10. For more information call Kathy Stamski at 978-772-4627, ext. 5.
