The future of Harvard and its schools may seem bleak, but only if we don’t make the right choices. We need continued efforts to fix the state and national funding formulas so as to ensure greater equity for our town. Supporting Stu Sklar for School Committee is an important step in this direction. Stu has shown great initiative, as demonstrated by his involvement in SOSHarvard and the Suburban Coalition. Not only is he in the trenches with many Harvard parents who volunteer their time at the schools, but he has also shown a willingness to look beyond our town’s borders, beyond the next override, and beyond dependence on residential property taxes to find the comprehensive solutions that are required. Anyone interested in preserving the quality of our schools and our town should make their voice heard by going to Town Meeting and by voting April 3 for Sklar for School Committee.
