Historical Society owns land

February 2, 2007

Comments attributed to Town Counsel Mark Lanza is last week’s Press inaccurately characterized the Harvard Historical Society as a town-owned museum that sits on town-owned property. The Harvard Historical Society is a privately funded, nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving Harvard history. The society’s buildings in Still River and the land they sit on are entirely owned by the Society, not the town.
