Loaves and Fishes sent the following letter to thank schoolchildren who participated in market math night at Roche Brothers November 8. Resident Stephanie Opalka sent the letter to the Press. She and Terry Symula chaired the event, which showed children how to get the most for their money and paid for 25 bags of groceries for Loaves and Fishes.
Dear Harvard fourth- and fifth-graders:
It is my pleasure to send this thank you note to you. Thank you for being very thoughtful fourth- and fifth-graders. How very pleased we are that you did this great food drive on behalf of Loaves and Fishes. It is indeed very heart-warming to know how many youngsters care and want to share. God bless you all!
