One addition I’d like to make to your wonderful charitable-giving guide is our local churches. One church in particular, the Congregational Church, seems to be very generous to our community by consistently allowing its facilities to be used by many local nonprofit groups, including Girls Scouts, Boy Scouts, Harvard Athletic Association, Council on Aging, and Alcoholics Anonymous, to name a few. During the Bromfield construction a few years ago, they even opened their doors to high school music classes to be held in the basement! The year-in, year-out wear and tear on the church building, not to mention the increase in utilities endured by this “mission” is substantial indeed. Please consider giving to this very worthy cause that gives so much to our community.
