Monday, Nov. 6
In the wee hours Monday morning, Harvard police issued a general traffic violation to a motor vehicle traveling near 32 Old Shirley Road. A short time later, at 4 a.m., dispatch received a call about suspicious activity at Depot Road and Under Pin Hill Road. The investigating officer found damaged real estate signs.
Tuesday, Nov. 7
Police responded to a call at 8 Finn Road concerning an ongoing domestic dispute at 10:34 a.m. Tuesday morning. An officer determined that a restraining order was violated. A general traffic citation was issued to a motor vehicle at 327 Ayer Road at 11:29 a.m., and another to a vehicle traveling near the intersection of Mass. Ave. and Pond Road later that same afternoon. At 2:53 p.m., the station received a call about a speeding vehicle on Murray Lane that was gone by the time an officer arrived.
Wednesday, Nov. 8
Officer Castro assisted with the Bromfield forensics class with an outdoor field trip. At 12:45 p.m., Harvard police assisted state police with a motor vehicle stop in Leominster. Later in the afternoon, police investigated a minor motor vehicle accident but did not file a report because damage did not exceed $1,000.
Thursday, Nov. 9
At 1:06 p.m., a motor vehicle was stopped for a general traffic violation at the intersection of Ayer and Still River roads. Later in the afternoon, a cell phone was turned in as lost property to the police station. It is being held at the station for safekeeping. A caller reported a sick raccoon near Myrick Lane, but the animal was gone when officers arrived. Lost keys were turned in to the station at 10:05 p.m. and are being held for safekeeping.
Friday, Nov. 10
There were six general traffic violations issued to different cars traveling on or near Ayer Road over the course of the day. A report of vandalism came into dispatch from the Ayer Police at 9:59 a.m. The fairways at Shaker Hills golf course had been damaged overnight. A restraining order was served to a resident at 108 Littleton Road at 2:12 p.m. A bike was found at the corner of South Shaker Road and Glenview Drive and turned into the police station for safekeeping.
Saturday, Nov. 11
Early Saturday morning at 2:28 a.m., police stopped Marcello Franca of Lawrence going eastbound on Route 2. He was found to have outstanding warrants, and his license was revoked and suspended. He was arrested and taken into custody until arraignment in Clinton District Court. Shortly after 9 p.m., police responded to calls from Hillcrest Drive and the area near Bromfield about a suspicious vehicle. Rowdy teenagers making noise were found by officers near the Boxborough line and given a verbal warning.
Sunday, Nov. 12
A Park Lane resident called to report a vandalized mailbox. An officer determined that it had been hit by a car sometime during the night. Shortly before noon, an Old Littleton Road homeowner phoned about a suspicious vehicle. It turned out to be someone waiting for a friend to return from a walk.
Monday, Nov. 13
Another Park Lane homeowner called to report a vandalized mailbox Sunday afternoon. The police officer determined it, too, had also been hit by a car. A resident called police at 6:41 p.m. to report that he had inadvertently knocked down a sign near Bromfield. Police called the incident a simple mistake.
